MyTunes Music Manager is a music player and application for managing your music library on your handheld device. It works together with the built-in Android media library to organize and display information about the music files on your device. This Section will explain how to get started using the application and how to customize its features.
Editions
MyTunes is available in either a "Lite" or "Pro" edition, both of which are available for free in the Google Play market. In addition, a paid "Full" edition app is also available which "unlocks" advanced features in the "Lite" edition and removes ads from the "Pro" edition.
The "Lite" edition app is smaller and uses less system resources than the "Pro" edition. It uses the built in system decoder to play music files, and is therefore limited to the audio formats supported natively by your device (usually mp3, m4a, and ogg vorbis). It includes basic functionality for free, with several advanced features that can be enabled by purchasing the "Full" edition (Unlocker) app. When you initially install the "Lite" edition, all of the advanced features are enabled for a trial period of 15 days, after which the app automatically reverts back to basic functionality and the advanced features are disabled.
The "Pro" edition app is more advanced than the "Lite" edition and includes a decoding engine that supports additional audio formats like wma, flac, alac, wav, aiff, and Monkey's Audio (ape). It also supports gapless playback, and has an advanced 7 band graphic equalizer. The app is free to install and has full functionality enabled, however, banner ads will begin to display on the music library and player screens after a few days of use. To remove the ads and support future development, you can purchase the "Full" edition (Unlocker) app from the Google Play market.
The "Full" edition (Unlocker) app enables all functionality in the "Lite" edition app and removes ads from the "Pro" edition app. It can be purchased from the Google Play market. Note that this app installs as an add-on to the other apps. You install this app in addtion to either the "Lite" or "Pro" edition app.
